The Poggiolo

The Poggiolo is the panoramic point par excellence of Guarene, because it allows an excellent view on a portion of Guarene and the surrounding territory of the Langhe.

The gaze can wander from the gardens of the Castle to the bulk of the Church of the Annunziata that stands on the roofs of the houses; from the road that leads to Alba, recognizable from the chapel of the Madonna delle Grazie, to the last buttresses of the Roero. Pushing the gaze further on, the Langhe can be viewed from Barbaresco to Alba, to the Tanaro plain and, if the weather conditions allow it, to the mountains that encase the view along the horizon.
